We met in 1989, the penultimate year of our higher education, studying Accounting and Finance. We were classmates and became very good friends that particular year.
We actually met by accident, as Eddie took my sit in a lecture theatre we were both meant to be in, which was packed and students had little or no seat. After that accidental meeting, he came to introduce himself to me and we started chatting. We discovered that we were both Christians, though we were studying Accountancy together, had a lot commonality.
We became quite close friends, though we are from two different parts of the country and speak two different languages. As we progresses in our friendship and studies, we started a few home based businesses that both delivered income into our pockets before we even left College, as well as provided solutions for people. We were really excited that we decided to start looking more and more into creating wealth and also lasting solutions from home – though we had our careers. As time went on, we got married, not long after which we had to migrate to Cyprus.
In Cyprus, we discovered new friends and started learning how to speak Greek and Arabic, based on the people we related with in Cyprus. It was fun! It was a great life changing experience. In actual fact, we went back to Cyprus this summer and had a great time meeting many of the people again and retracing our steps; this time around as tourists in Cyprus. From Cyprus we migrated to England and established ourselves as Accountants as well as Entrepreneurs.
Over the last 14 years of being in UK, we have developed and become established both in the areas of our careers and also in businesses, with Eddie joining Oracle Corporation as an Implementation Consultant and myself as an Accountant within the Media industry. We then started various businesses, which we have been very successful at.
Apart from playing golf, which Eddie is very good at., as a couple, our greatest hobby is travelling. Over the last 10 years, we have travelled round Europe, to Turkey, Morocco, USA, Africa and a few other Mediterranean countries.
We have 2 lovely teenagers – who also aspire to have a profession as well as run their own personal businesses.
